About Steven
We’re a fintech startup based out of Sweden with a developer office in Yerevan, Armenia. In Sweden alone, more than 300.000.000 person-to-person (p2p) transactions take place annually. Users around the world still only have access to pretty basic and very localized payment solutions for solving p2p and group payments, Steven is here to change that. Steven have so far launched a state-of-the-art group payments app and is on a mission to become the best financial solution for the young tech-savvy generation.
About the position
You will join our team in Stockholm where you will solve end user problems by developing and deploying scalable, high available and performant backend systems. Our main language is Java but we encourage polyglot development and value experience from different languages and programming paradigms.
Solve end user problems from a full stack perspective together with your team
Develop Stevens Backend system.
Continuously improve the the code base and the processes around it.
Take a joint devops responsibility together with the rest of the team.
Your background
We don’t measure seniority in years, but we believe that you have built your seniority during at least a couple of years experience working as a developer. You speak and write excellent english. You have the ability to identify problems and as a person you are positive, flexible, and solution oriented. In addition to all this you are a team-player with a drive to improve. As for languages or frameworks, we first and foremost like you to have the right base knowledge and that you are a quick learner. However, it is beneficial if you have experience within the following:
Java
Kotlin
Spring and Spring Boot
Dropwizard
AWS
Testing
Continuous integration
It’s also a big plus if you have dabbled with front end development and if you have experience with functional or reactive programming.
